Do you have any other social media?
I’m active on my twitter, @portia_bartel !
do y’all remember before direct messages tumblr had a dumbass ask limit of 10 per hour and communication was impossible until they introduced dumbass fan mail and we were basically sending telegraphs back in forth trying to communicate those were…dark times
Do y'all remember when they finally gave us direct messages and instead of doing it normally, they gave it to a few people at a time and we had to infect each other with it like a virus
remember when any post with more than like 6 people talking was unreadably smushed except for the last few additions remember when any post of over 500 characters became a link back to op’s blog readmore style remember when video and audio posts had about a 10% chance of working when you click play
As a recent user I love finding out shit like this from older users. What the fuck guys???? Why were you USING IT AT ALL?!??
believe it or not, we liked that more
Necesitas gafas?
Can we just appreciate how many friends this guy has to pull this off
fuck their social circle whered they get the goddamn goat

Half a bell, this had been going on. Every few seconds, he’d hear a high pitched groan or a huff of exertion…and maybe if luck and strength were on their side, the Nunh would hear the subtle shift of metal against the floorboards.
“We almost got it that time!” his eldest son cheered.
“Yeah, we’ll swing it on the next go!” Even his youngest daughter had joined in despite her penchant to avoid the silliness of her brother’s plans.
Y’raos had been doing so well not to laugh. It helped to not look over the back of the couch to see the scene unfold, but the banter and youthful grunts were starting to break through even that precaution. One swift peek broke his cool entirely as Y’raos watched his youngest boy try to hoist the handle of his father’s battle axe up, like he was bound to wield the damned thing between his little hands that could just barely grip around the circumference of the handle. And Azeyma bless him, he tried. Heaving and puffing until his little face turned cherry red and he had to let go, the axe barely scooting an ilm across the floor.
Were he a better father, he’d stop this nonsense before his wife came in and saw the children playing with a weapon that was NOT supposed to be in their hands. But if the damned thing wasn’t even getting off the floor, what threat was it to watch his kids try their hand at their father’s strength?
It gave him the smallest of ego boosts, he wouldn’t lie. Didn’t matter if not one of them managed to reach his hip in size, or the fact that he could lift all four of his children without a second thought.
“Maybe consider something your own size, mm?” Raos offered unhelpfully as he rested an arm against the back of the couch, finally surveying his exhausted children. The result of his jab was instantaneous.
“NUH UH!”
“WE CAN DO THIS ONE!”
“I DON’T WANT A SMALLER AXE. I WANNA SWING THIS ONE LIKE PAPA!”
The Nunh didn’t stifle his laughter this time around, rather leaning his chin on his perched forearm. “Fine, fine. Keep trying. You’ll get it eventually, I’m sure.”
the nature of thestanconfessions ensures that geniuses like this go uncredited and that’s one of history’s greatest tragedies
i mean this in the nicest way possible you guys but you NEED to take better care of yourselves online. getting severely anxious about mass quantities of horrible things you cant change every single day is normal considering the internet’s ability to educate on worldwide issues, it shows that you have empathy and that you truly do care. but relentless knowledge of constant suffering on this scale is NOT something humans are psychologically equipped to handle. it’s okay to shut off. it’s okay to just take a break and enjoy yourself for a while in your own localized space
It was half meant as a joke, but I recently read a post that was something like “If you’re not outraged, you’re probably setting understandable boundaries with the news you consume online”, and I still haven’t stopped thinking about it
